Morning Tours, Afternoon Tours & Sunset Tours
Where do we fish?
We move about the historic wrecks and reefs of Darwin Harbour (which is massive, many times the size of Sydney Harbour) – your actual destination depends on the tides, weather conditions and where the fish are biting!
What do we target?
A mixture of bottom dwellers and pelagics such as black jewfish, golden snapper, Spanish mackerel, Spanish flag, javelin fish, blue boned tusk fish, giant trevally, queenfish and long-tail tuna.
What fishing gear do we use?
A combination of Shimano and Daiwa fishing gear. We provide pilchards and squid bait and use circle hooks which allows fish to be released.
What’s the boat like?
You will be on either one of our two boats:
Dolphin Diver is a 33 foot Randell and Northern Exile is a 46 foot Westcoaster. Both have a large walk around fishing deck, a shade canopy, comfortable seating, rod holders, a flushing toilet and the latest in marine navigation and safety technology.
What else is provided?
Your crew will cook up a delicious “Territory style” barbeque for you out on the Harbour. Burgers/sausages served with salads, cheese and fresh bread. We can also cook up the catch of the day!
There is iced water and tea/coffee on board and a large iced esky for your drinks
What do you need to bring?
Just your hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera and soft drinks or alcohol.
Can I take my fish home?
Yes, we do promote catch and release of small fish but are happy for you to take home some dinner! Your crew will clean and fillet your catch and provide fish bags and ice for you.
Where do we depart?
The Cullen Bay Ferry Terminal, which the jetty that is outside the Lock at the end of Cullen Bay Marina. It is 5 minutes drive from Darwin City centre and has free parking all day. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
